Destination
Portugal! 3,000 hours of sunshine per year and 850 km of splendid beaches bathed by the Atlantic Ocean. One magical city—Lisbon. And a great bunch of smiling, happy Semperians.
Situated in the extreme southwest of Europe, this country has the oldest borders in Europe, and its capital—Lisbon—is one of the oldest cities in the world.
During the 15th and 16th centuries, Portugal became a leading European power that ranked with England, France, and Spain. Famous naval exploration and explorers including Vasco da Gama, who was the first European to reach India by sea, made Portugal a world empire.
Although those days of conquest are gone, Lisbon remains an “alpha-level global city” because of its importance in finance, commerce, media, entertainment, arts, international trade, education, and tourism.
And now, we’re embarking on our own historic adventure: Semperis explores Lisbon!
Luxury Corinthia hotel
In the heart of the city is the magnificent Corinthia Hotel, which features a lush garden with waterfalls and an outdoor restaurant and cocktail bar. From the premium Sky Lounge, there’s a 360-degree, stunning view of Lisbon. The award-winning 3,000 sqm hotel spa with an indoor dynamic pool, fully equipped gym, and indoor heated swimming pool completes the picture. The hotel’s brilliant location, near the city’s historic center and just a three-minute walk from the Jardim Zoologico metro station, makes it the perfect choice of accommodation for our once-in-a-lifetime exploration trip!
